2020 Orionid Meteor Shower

Post by Christopher K. »

The Orionids begin this Tuesday morning and will last through the morning of Thanksgiving Friday. One of the better showers, like all of them its viewers are trounced by local light pollution.

The peak of the Orionid Meteor Shower this year is Thursday the 22nd during the 5am Local Standard Hour, which means Wednesday night is the best nighttime period. The forecast currently calls for high relative humidity after 11:15pm.

HRPO does not open for the Orionid Meteor Shower due to the high level of light pollution in the local area.
