Albireo

Post by Christopher K. » September 17th, 2015, 10:05 pm

This from the Celestial Handbook: "...one of the most beautiful double stars in the sky, considered by many observers to be the finest in the heavens for a small telescope". Can anyone dispute it? It's definitely one of the finest of its kind. (I'm glad it's easily seen unaided-eye from HRPO--hope yet for the location's skies.

I viewed Albireo at 36x Tuesday night at ~10:15pm.

Looked at Albireo with one of the 10x Bushnells this past Wednesday, a few minutes after 10pm. The binoc was unmounted and the shaking of my hands noticeable but Albireo's double nature was as plain as day (or night?).
