The Monkey Head Nebula (also catalogued as NGC 2174) is an emission nebula on the extreme edge of Orion, just across the Gemini border. It lies 4˚30' west of B-class, magnitude 4.1 Nu Geminorum; 1˚50' northwest of the F-class, magnitude 5.2 star 71 Orionis; and 1˚26' east-northeast of F-class, magnitude 4.6 Chi2 Orionis.
