Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635)

Post by Christopher K. » February 5th, 2017, 8:08 pm

Over 7000 light-years away and seven light-years across, the Bubble Nebula lies just across the Cepheus border in Cassiopeia. The star responsible for it is forty-times more massive than our Sun.

An image of the Bubble Nebula was used for the February entry in the 2017 NASA Science calendar...
