An April Nature article from Michele Cappellari of the University of Oxford (and her colleagues) mentions data that suggest star formation, and therefore galaxy formation, may have been different in the early universe. The team studied over 250 galaxies, including the elliptical NGC 4150 in Coma Berenices. The group made sure the results were not the influence of "dark matter".
