RIP Stephen Hawking

Post by Amy Brouillette » March 14th, 2018, 8:55 am

Stephen Hawking passed away March 14, 2018 at the age of 76. This is over 50 years longer than doctors expected when he was first diagnosed with ALS at the age of 21. We are fortunate he was able to change the way we think of cosmology for so long.

Hawking brought high and complex concepts of physics within reach of the general public with A Brief History of Time, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
