What can the HRPO partners say? They have so much fun with International Astronomy Day, they don't want it to end! So beginning today they have started planning for next year's event!

2019 is special for IAD. The Astronomical League always schedules the Day on the Saturday between mid-April and mid-April that is four to ten days away from New Moon. On next year's International Astronomy Day (Saturday 11 May 2019) it will be exactly first-quarter Moon! 8:12pm CDT, to be exact... The Moon will be nestled right next to the sickle of Leo.

HRPO's lucky-thirteenth-annual event will showcase astronomy, physics and its peripherals like never before.
