Door Prizes for the 2019 Deep South Star Gaze

Post by bsimon615 »

Ok, this is what we have so far. Note, I have not yet received door prize donations from any of the companies that I have sent request letters to. Those letters went out about 2 weeks ago so I should be receiving responses/prizes soon, so our list of prizes will grow.

So, especially for our new attendees - "How do we award prizes?"

You get a door prize ticket as part of your registration if you pay for full registration (either early or late). One door prize ticket per registration, either individual or family. Note that some couples elect to do 2 individual registrations in lieu of family registration in order to get 2 tickets. In addition if you elect to pay reduced registration because you are not staying overnight and you are not setting up equipment, you do not get a door prize ticket.

When are door prize drawings held?

One door prize drawing per day for one prize on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This drawing is held at 3 pm each afternoon on the main field.

Friday and Saturday door prize drawings, multiple prizes at 3 pm each afternoon on the main field. As tickets are pulled you can pick the prize you want from among the prizes presented for that day. Do not dawdle, tickets will be pulled relatively quickly. If you cannot decide what you want the next person behind you might snatch a good prize from under your grasp. Oh no! :o

A bear maybe, but for a ferocious chipmunk I wouldn't use less than a 44 Magnum.

Uh Oh! I think the PETA people might be after us now. Better ditch that chipmunk coat I made for my granddaughter's Barbie Doll! :o

All kidding aside - I am not a hunter.
