Though the American Radio Relay League is still deciding, 2022's ARRL Field Day emergency exercise probably will run from 1pm CDT on Saturday 25 June to 1pm CDT on Sunday 26 June. This year's stated goal is "to contact as many stations as possible on the 160, 80, 40, 20,15 and 10 Meter HF bands, as well as all bands 50 MHz and above, and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions". Field Day being the most popular Amateur Radio event, it is expected that 30,000 to 40,000 North American "hams" will take part.
The Highland Road Park Observatory will be open to the general public from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday only. There will be no admission fee. The Baton Rouge Amateur Radio Club will host a GOTA station and other educational activities during that time span.
Solar viewing will take place from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Re: 2022 American Radio Relay League Field Day
A special one-time-only feature will be in place this year. From 6pm to 8pm, a custom Train Like an Astronaut course will be open; this is a brief return of the layout that was available during IAD.
Sometime during Field Day, the operators may attempt to contact the International Space Station. If more detailed information is needed ahead of time, BRARC meets at HRPO on Tuesday 31 May at 6pm.
