13 July 2022 Supermoon!

Post by Christopher K. »

The Highland Road Park Observatory is open for those lunar events during which the Full Moon and perigee are within twenty-four hours of each other. The slang term for this is Supermoon. There are usually consecutive Supermoons in a year; HRPO choose the Supermoon that has its Full status and its perigee closest.

For 2022, that will be Wednesday 13 July. HRPO will be open from 10pm to 11:30pm.
