This story doesn't receive enough coverage in hindsight. Due to the state of their inner ears, these men could not experience what's popularly called "motion sickness". Since orientation cues from the inner ear also are not present in low-Earth orbit, the early data accumulated from these studies was invaluable.
The Gallaudet Eleven were Harold Domich, Robert Greenmun, Barron Gulak, Raymond Harper, Jerald Jordan, Harry Larson, David Myers, Donald Peterson, Raymond Piper, Alvin Steele and John Zakutney.
